Vehicle will be seized if he does it again

A Sleaford motorist has been given a formal warning by police after allegedly throwing a bucket at a cyclist as he overtook.

Lincolnshire police officer Jimmy Conway tweeted:

The Sleaford Standard reports that a cyclist had been riding along Monks Road in Lincoln on Friday October 13 at about 10pm when a plastic car was thrown at them from a passing car.

A police spokesman said: “Officers issued the driver of the vehicle a s59 warning the following day. This means if they use a vehicle in the next 12 months in a manner that causes or is likely to cause alarm, distress or annoyance to members of the public, then the vehicle will be seized under the Police Reform Act and the owner will pay a fee to get it released.”
